Macworld security guide
Macworld security guide
Macworld magazine has published a well done, thorough guide to general Macintosh security, entitled “Mac Security Superguide.” In some ways this guide can be viewed as the first serious competitor to “Internet Security for your Macintosh,” the book on which this blog is based. But it’s actually more complementary than competitive.
The guide focuses on general security for your Mac, as opposed to Internet security. But in the same way that ISFYM has a major chapter on physical security for your Mac, the Superguide has a couple major chapters on Macintosh network and Internet security. Unlike ISFYM, it also delves into privacy issues. Here’s an overview of the chapters. Religious ISFYM readers should recognize many of the titles and subjects.
