Macworld Expo security reprise

For what may well be the last time, Macworld Expo begins Monday in San Francisco, with the Steve-less keynote really kicking things off on Tuesday. Open Door will again have representatives at the show, this year with a dual Macintosh/iPhone focus. We’ll be on the lookout for security-related products and information, and report back as best we can.

From a security perspective, the main thing to know at this point is that Alan Oppenheimer, Open Door’s founder and president, and co-author of the book and this blog, will again be presenting at the conference with Marshall Clow from Idio, The two will be giving an updated reprise of last year’s well-received talk, “Keeping Safe on the Internet.”

The talk will hopefully again be as straightforward as it sounds, since simple remains good when it comes to security. It’s again based directly on the “Internet Security Top 10” associated with this blog, a dynamic list that changes as security threats change. If you’re at the talk (Thursday 11:00am), stop by afterward and say hi.
