Apple and Open Door “team up” on security
For today at least, if you use Google to search for “Apple security,” in the sponsored links section, you get a link for Apple followed by a link for Open Door:
The link for Apple, labeled “You’ll love a Mac,” points to the security page for their “Get a Mac” campaign: “114,000 viruses? Not on a Mac.” Pretty much the same subject as their most recent security ad on TV. The link for Open Door, labeled “Macs need security too,” points to our DoorStop X Security Suite. We have no TV ads however :)
Apple and Open Door have actually teamed up on a number of projects in the past. For instance our DoorStop X Firewall grew out of a project with Apple where we developed their first firewall.
And in case you’re wondering what’s on either side of our joint links in Google, right now it’s “Computer Security locks” and “Anti-theft equipment.” Interesting.
