Excellent WiFi security book updated
An update to the excellent eBook “Take Control of Your Wi-Fi Security” is now available. Written by long-time WiFi reporter/expert Glenn Fleishman, along with all-around Mac expert Adam Engst, the book tells you pretty much everything you need to know, and more, about WiFi security concerns. It has been updated to take into account many recent WiFi security developments, including at least one talked about in this blog. You can even get a discount on this already-inexpensive eBook through Glenn’s comprehensive WiFi blog. The book is part of the excellent “Take Control” series.
Since WiFi seems to be the number one or two security concern talked about in this blog (the other being, a bit surprisingly, QuickTime), it’s definitely worth spending some time with this book. Sections include:
• Wi-Fi Security Quick Start
• Determine Your Security Risk
• Prevent Access to Your Wireless Network
• Secure Your Data in Transit
• Protect Your Systems
• Secure Small Office Wi-Fi
• Perform a Security Audit
• Appendix: Password Advice
